You have 30 days from courier delivery to hang and inspect your rain chain. Items must be in clean, resalable condition with all ornamental links and original packaging to qualify for a standard refund.
1. Eligibility for Standard Returns (Condition Requirements)
To qualify for a standard return and refund under our 30-day backyard policy:
- Your return request must be submitted within 30 days of verified carrier delivery.
- Clean & Undamaged Condition: Rain chains and kinetic sculptures must be clean, free of severe water-mineral scale, physical bends, deep metal scratches, or unapproved structural tampering.
- Complete Assembly Kits: All cup units, hummingbird figures, intermediate chain links, and the universal V-hook gutter attachment clip must be returned intact in the original protective box.
- Items that have undergone permanent home modification (e.g., cutting links, repainting) are not eligible for standard return processing.
2. Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) & Photo Verification
To maintain fair operations and streamline warehouse inspection, all returns require prior authorization:
- Email support@trovse.com with your Order Number and clear photos showing the intact rain chain, hanging clip, and original product carton.
- Upon quick review, our support team will issue an official Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Code alongside the designated intake warehouse address.
- Parcels dispatched without a documented RMA code will be turned away by warehouse logistics and cannot be processed for credit.
3. Return Shipping & Restocking Terms
- Buyer-Paid Return Postage: For elective preferences or discretionary returns (such as selecting an alternate finish or change of mind), the customer is solely responsible for tracked return postage via a recognized courier (USPS, UPS, or FedEx).
- 15% Restocking & Intake Fee: Standard voluntary returns incur a 15% restocking fee deducted from the total refund credit to cover warehouse intake inspection, metal finish sanitization, and protective repackaging.
4. Transit Damage, Bent Links & Missing Hardware
If your shipment arrives dented from transit, suffers broken soldering, or is missing a hanging clip:
- Email support@trovse.com within 7 days of arrival with clear photos of the damaged unit and outer shipping label.
- 100% Free Replacement: We will immediately dispatch a fresh replacement unit or necessary hardware kit at zero cost. You will never be asked to pay shipping for carrier-damaged items.
5. Refund Processing Timelines
Once your returned rain chain is received and verified by our intake team, your refund (minus any applicable restocking fee) will be issued within 2–3 business days back to your original payment method (Credit Card, Debit Card, or PayPal).
